Blackjack game variants II

In blackjack games with modification in some rules and regulations new games have emerged as variations in play. Interestingly, while rookie players find such new games exotic and attractive choice of play, they actually have very high house edge for the casinos.

One such variant of the game is the Double Exposure Blackjack where the dealer has not one but two face up cards. While hitting a blackjack results in a payout of even money, this game does not allow a push or tie and when both the player and the dealer has similar point values in their hands, the player loses the game. Another well-known game variant is the Double Attack Blackjack which has a relaxation on many blackjack stipulations and the cards in the game are dealt from a Spanish shoe. Although it favors the players by allowing them to raise their bet size after they have viewed the dealer’s face up card, blackjack hands in this game too only pays even money.

Two very significant variations of the gambling game of blackjack are the French and the German versions. Respectively called the Vingt-et-un (meaning Twenty-one) and Siebzehn und Vier (meaning Seventeen and Four), neither of these game variants permit splitting of the cards option for the players. The ace card is also assigned a single value, that of 11. However, if a player holds a pair of aces in his hand, it is considered to be a natural or blackjack. Interestingly, such variation of allowing two aces to be counted as a blackjack is very rarely found in casino houses and only games played privately among gamblers allow this. The Chinese blackjack is also a variant of the popular casino gambling game and found to be played mainly in Asia. It does not allow splitting of the cards like the French and German variants but it allows regulations regarding other card combinations.
